Posted: Thursday, June 10, 2010

Do you have a keen interest in a particular area of Juneau's history? The Juneau-Douglas City Museum invites you to dig a little deeper and apply for a Juneau History Grant to assist with your local history project.

The museum is currently accepting applications for the grant, which offers up to $1,000 to history enthusiasts of all ages to assist with projects that document, preserve or improve access to the history of the Juneau-Douglas area.

Trail guides, films, presentations, books and archival preservation projects are just a few examples of the types of projects funded by the grant.

Applications for the 2010/2011 grant are available on-line and at the museum's front desk. Applications must be post-marked or hand-delivered to the Museum by 4 p.m. Monday, June 14.

For more information, visit www.juneau.org/parkrec/museum/grant.php or call 586-3572.
