Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:
Assaults:
A woman, 37, was arrested at 9:30 p.m. Sunday in downtown Juneau for domestic violence assault and taken to the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.
Animal encounters:
Police received a complaint that a small bear was hanging around the Trafalgar Avenue area at 10:05 a.m. Sunday.
A bear was reported on Threadneedle Street at 10:10 a.m. Sunday.
Vandalism and criminal mischief:
Officers responded to a report of shoplifting and arrested a woman, 36, for second-degree theft at 8:30 p.m. Sunday at a store near Yandukin Drive. She was taken to the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.
Other:
Officers responded to a report of an unattended child in a vehicle at the Fred Meyer parking lot at 3:05 p.m. Sunday. The driver, a 41-year-old woman, was cited and released for driving with a revoked license.
