Nikiski man accused of molesting own child

KENAI - A 53-year-old Nikiski man has been charged with sexually abusing his own child.

Martin Vandenburgh was arraigned Tuesday in Kenai Superior Court on nine counts of sexual abuse of a minor and six counts of possessing child pornography. A jury trial is scheduled for late August.

Charging documents allege he abused a child over three years beginning in 2005, both in Anchorage and in Nikiski.
