WRANGELL - The U.S. Forest Service is hosting a ribbon cutting to celebrate the completion of the Middle Ridge public use cabin at 1 p.m. on June 19 in Wrangell.
The event will feature hot dogs, beverages and guest speakers. It will also highlight the newly completed cabin that was constructed using timber harvested from young growth on the Tongass National Forest. This is cabin also marks a "first" for the Wrangell area; it is not only accessible by road, but it also adheres to ADA standards.
This event is free and open the public.
