JUNEAU - Staff members of Alaska's U.S. senators will visit Yakutat, Skagway and Haines next week.
Republican Lisa Murkowski and Democrat Mark Begich jointly announced the office hours on Thursday.
Congressional staff hold office hours in Alaska in order to meet with constituents and community leaders. Staff from each office is available to take casework requests and listen to constituent concerns about issues related to the federal government. All information gathered by staff will be directed to Sens. Murkowski and Begich, as well as to the appropriate federal agencies to resolve concerns raised by Alaskans.
Office hours are as follows:
Tuesday - Yakutat Post Office, noon to 3 p.m.
Thursday - Skagway Post Office, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Friday - Haines Post Office, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Members of Sens. Murkowski and Begich's staff will be holding additional mobile office hours around Alaska throughout the summer. Specific dates and locations will be announced as they are finalized.
