Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Drunken driving:

• Police arrested Brian Taylor, 42, on a charge of drunken driving after receiving a report at 5:05 p.m. Thursday of an intoxicated motorist on Douglas Highway. Police also charged Taylor with refusing a chemical test, lodged him in the Lemon Creek Correctional Center and impounded the vehicle he was driving.

Underage drinking:

• At 8:15 p.m. Friday near Hurlock Avenue police arrested a boy, 16, on a charge of underage drinking and on an outstanding troopers warrant. He was lodged at the Johnson Youth Center.

Assault:

• At 6:15 a.m. Saturday in the Lemon Creek area a woman, 21, was arrested on a charge of domestic violence assault. She was lodged at the state prison.

Thefts:

• Police arrested a woman, 21, on a theft charge at 5:17 p.m. Thursday near South Franklin Street. They lodged her at the state prison.

• A checkbook was reported stolen at 6:16 p.m. Thursday near Glacier Highway.

• A pink and brown purse was reported stolen at 8:13 p.m. Thursday near Glacier Highway. The purse was valued at $50 and contained $5 and a cellular telephone valued at $100.

• A fire alarm was reported stolen at 11:20 p.m. Thursday near South Franklin Street.

• A black, zippered checkbook was reported at 8:32 a.m. Friday to have been stolen sometime Thursday afternoon near North Franklin Street.

• At 9:20 a.m. Friday, a woman reported her unlocked vehicle was entered overnight near Mountain Avenue in the Lemon Creek area. A book of compact discs valued at $200 was stolen.

• At 2:15 p.m. Friday near Atlin Drive, a man reported the theft of a green and silver Magma 18-speed bike, worth $100.

• At 6 p.m. Friday near Glacier Highway a woman, 19, was cited on a charge of shoplifting. She was released.

Vandalism:

• At 11:15 a.m. Saturday near Stephen Richards Memorial Drive a man reported that his 2002 Ford truck's tires were slashed and its hood dented.

Vehicle accidents:

• At 5:10 p.m. Thursday, a 1993 Toyota 4Runner operated by a man, 36, stuck a 1994 Ford Escort, operated by a woman, 47, on Douglas Highway, causing about $900 in damage to the driver's door of the Escort.

Traffic stops:

• Police impounded the vehicle of a man charged by police with driving with a revoked license at 7:30 a.m. Friday on La Perouse Avenue near the airport. Police also arrested the man on two counts of violating a domestic-violence protective order. They lodged him a the state prison.

Found property:

• A West Trails backpack was turned over to police at 1:31 a.m. Friday after it was found.

• A black leather wallet was turned over to police at 11:50 a.m. Friday after it was found.

Animal encounters:

• A bear was reported at 12:22 p.m. Thursday walking in the area of Eighth Street and Basin Road before going back into the nearby woods.
