A prowfish swims in a tank at the Alaska SeaLife Center in Seward. A veterinarian performed eye surgery on a prowfish at the center Friday, where aquarium staff have come to think of the not-so-rare fish as kind of special. The 6 1/2-pound fish - blueish-gray and with a big forehead, a blunt little face and bulging eyes - was doing well in a recovery tank. The surgery was to treat a nagging eye wound.
