Man killed tying boat to dock

JUNEAU - A Washington man was killed while securing a boat at a Juneau harbor in the Mendenhall Valley, according to police.

Washington resident Edgar Cedillo, 33, was unresponsive when found by Capital City Fire and Rescue and the Juneau Police Department around 2:25 a.m. Friday in 13000 block of Glacier Highway near the docks.

First responders provided emergency medical care Cedillo but he couldn't be revived and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Cedillo was securing a boat when he became caught between the boat and dock, according to police.

Next of kin were contacted. An autopsy was requested from the Medical Examiners Office in Anchorage.
