Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Sound off on the important issues at

Drunken driving:

• Police arrested 21-year-old Adam Joshua Larsen on a charge of drunken driving at 1:06 a.m. Tuesday on outbound Egan Drive in the Salmon Creek area. They lodged him at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center and impounded the vehicle he was driving. Officers also charged him with reckless endangerment and driving without a license, as well as a warrant charging him with failing to appear in court on a charge of receiving stolen property.


• Two speaker boxes were reported stolen at 2:17 p.m. Monday from a vehicle in the 4400 block of Kanata Street in the Mendenhall Valley.

• Beer was reported stolen at 6:50 a.m. Tuesday from a bus burglarized in the 6000 block of Sunset Street in the Lemon Creek area.


• At 5:54 p.m. Monday, a 1997 Ford Explorer in the 6000 block of Glacier Spur Road was reported scratched with a key.

Vehicle accidents:

• An accident with one vehicle rear-ending another was reported at 7:58 a.m. Tuesday on inbound Egan Drive in the Sunny Point area. No other information was available.

• A 2000 Ford truck reportedly hit a parked 1998 Chrysler at 8:26 a.m. Tuesday in the 8100 block of Glacier Highway.

Hit and run:

• At 7:26 p.m. Monday, a 2001 Subaru Legacy was reported struck by an unknown vehicle in the 3000 block of Vintage Boulevard.

Traffic stop:

• Police impounded a vehicle at 1:36 a.m. Tuesday after citing the driver, a 22-year-old man, on a charge of driving without a license in the 2200 block of Trout Street near the airport.

Animal encounters:

• A bear cub was reported at 10:11 p.m. Monday near Montgomery Street in the Lemon Creek area.
