Proceeds from tea fundraiser to help rebuild Holy Trinity Church

Holy Trinity's Summer Solstice Tea, Garden Tour and Plant Sale will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 24, to begin at St. Ann's Parish Hall, on Fifth Avenue between Gold and Harris streets.
Participants may choose from three tea seatings at 11 a.m., 12:45 p.m. or 2:30 p.m. A silent auction and art sale will take place at each of the tea seatings. Rie Muñoz's print "The Plant Sale" will be available for a set price of $100.
All parts of the event will happen simultaneously. Tea, tours and plant sale may be done in any order. Tickets are $20 for the tea and tours, $10 for the tea only. Tickets are available at Hearthside Books, from Holy Trinity Church members or at the door. All proceeds will go to the rebuild Holy Trinity Episcopal Church and McPhetres Hall.
Parks and Rec accepting apps for vendor permits at Savikko Park
Parks and Recreation is currently accepting applications for commercial and nonprofit vendor permits for food and merchandise sales at Savikko Park in Douglas for July 4. The deadline for submitting applications is June 26.
Permits are issued on a a first-come, first-serve basis. The Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation requires food vendors to obtain food service certificates. Contact 465-5285. Nonprofit organizations are required to provide a copy of a 501 (c) (3) IRS form.

Girl Scouts taking registrations for Camp Feather Winds
Tongass Alaska Girl Scout Council is currently taking registrations for Camp Feather Winds, the council's summer resident camp from July 30 to Aug. 5 at the Eagle River Boy Scout Camp in Juneau.
Girls entering grades fourth through 12th in the fall are eligible to attend. In addition to outdoor skills, archery, arts and crafts, skits, sports and games, the camp will feature a Leadership Adventure Experience, for girls entering grades 9-12, and a Leadership Training Program, for girls entering grades 7-8.
