ANCHORAGE - A man's body was discovered Monday in a pile of cardboard at the Anchorage Recycling Center.
The plant manager was operating a front end loader to move the pile when he found the body about 1:15 p.m.
Manager Robert Tenge told police the cardboard hadn't been touched by personnel in about a month.
Police say it's unclear how the body got there or how long it was there. Based on the amount of decomposition, police spokeswoman Anita Shell says the body had been there awhile.
The body has been sent for an autopsy. Shell says foul play is not suspected.
