Italian man injured in Dalton Highway motorcycle accident

FAIRBANKS - An Italian author of books about motorcycle trips was injured when his motorcycle crashed on the Dalton Highway in Alaska.
Alaska State Troopers said 50-year-old Italo Barazzutti of Tolmezzo, Italy, crashed near Prospect Creek last Thursday.
Troopers said he was flown to an Anchorage hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
According to his website, Barazzutti has written books about his solo motorcycle journeys across Europe, Mongolia and Russia.
His most recent journey was a trek from Tierra del Fuego in South America to Prudhoe Bay, which he began in 2009 in honor of his 50th birthday.
