Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Vehicle accidents:

• A man, 51, was cited for failing to maintain a safe distance at 1:17 p.m. Saturday near Glacier Highway and Jordan Avenue after driving his white Subaru into a red Chevrolet truck. The Subaru was totaled. The Chevrolet sustained $3000 in damage.

• The driver of a red Mercury Topaz struck a black Mercury Cougar and left the scene in a hit-and-run accident at 12:01 a.m. Sunday near Gold Street. The Cougar was pushed into a Yellow Ford Ranger. The Cougar sustained $1,000 in damage.

Animal sighting:

• A bear was reported at 12:18 a.m. Sunday near Simpson Avenue getting into trash.

Domestic violence:

• A woman, 24, was arrested for domestic violence assault at 2:37 a.m. Sunday near Thunder Mountain Road.


• A blue boys bicycle was reported stolen at 1:59 p.m. Saturday near Aspen Avenue. The bike is worth $99.


• A man, 36, was arrested at 4:21 p.m. Saturday near Pocket Park for violating conditions of his release. He was lodged at Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

• A man, 28, was arrested for disorderly conduct and criminal trespass at 9:12 p.m. Saturday near Pocket Park. He was lodged at Lemon Creek Correctional Center.
