Anchorage school campus may add community center

Posted: Wednesday, June 16, 2010

ANCHORAGE - The Anchorage School Board has approved the idea of adding a community center at the West High and Romig Middle school campus.

KTUU-TV reports the $200 million renovation would turn the first floor of the schools into a health center, recreational facility and class space that would be open to the public after school hours.

Monday's vote does not commit money for construction or put the project on the ballot.
