Sick, tired of being gouged at the pump

I remember when I first was able to drive and gas was 25 cents a gallon. Then the price wars would come, and all of the stations would lower their prices to compete with each other. The oil companies still made money and everyone was happy.

Sound off on the important issues at

It appears that the opposite is happening today, except that the oil companies are making landmark profits and the consumer is getting hit in the pocketbook.

I have trouble with the way gas prices keep going up for no apparent reason. And no one wants to start gas wars, knowing that people would buy more gas. If there was a gas war, supply and demand would win out. The money would be there to be made. It would also send a message to wealthy oil companies that we are sick and tired of being gouged while they continue to make money at our expense.
