Police ID persons of interest in Mendenhall valley burglary

Posted: Wednesday, June 17, 2009

JUNEAU - The Juneau Police Department has identified two persons of interest relating to a burglary this week in the Mendenhall Valley and are searching for another man.

Police received a report Monday of a burglary in progress at a home in the 4000 block of Taku Boulevard. A neighbor reported seeing a man carrying items from the home and placing them inside a vehicle parked in the driveway. Police determined entry to the home was forced and several items were taken.

An officer saw a vehicle matching the neighbor's description a few miles away shortly after the report was made. A car fitting the description was located on Trout Street, and an ensuing investigation led to the discovery of items stolen from a Lemon Creek home.

The third person of interest police are looking for is 20-year-old Brendan Doyle, who is wanted by Alaska State Troopers on an outstanding $5,000 warrant. The names of the other two individuals were not immediately disclosed. Anyone with information relating to this matter is encouraged to contact JPD at 586-0600.
