Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Driving while intoxicated:

Kris Jon Burns, 25, was arrested for drunken driving at 10:51 p.m. Monday near Mendenhall Mall Road. He was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.


Two unlocked bikes were reported stolen at 9:36 a.m. Monday from in front of a home on Killewich Drive.

Four flags valued at $25 each were reported stolen at 10:45 a.m. Monday from Third Street in Douglas.

A portable CD player and a CD case with 15 CDs were reported stolen at 11:34 a.m. Monday from an unlocked truck on Douglas Highway.

Hit-and-run incidents:

A Juneau resident reported at 4:06 p.m. Monday from Merchants Wharf parking lot that an unknown person had struck a 1993 Ford while it was parked. Damage was estimated at $800.

A man reported at 4:58 p.m. Monday near Mallard Street that the rear doors of a white GMC Savannah van were dented after an unknown vehicle struck it.

A woman reported at 9:07 p.m. Monday from Glacier Highway that her 1984 Mazda RX7 had been struck by an unknown vehicle. The vehicle sustained $500 in damage.

Animal encounters:

Bears were reported Monday at 8:52 a.m. near Adair-Kennedy Park and at 11:44 p.m. near Glacier Highway.
