Teen arrested after stolen van crashes into pump house

An 18-year-old Juneau man was arrested Sunday after crashing a stolen van into a pump house and trying to flee on foot, Juneau Police said.

At 4:12 a.m., police saw a man running from the scene of an accident near Renninger Drive.

A man was fleeing from a red Chevrolet van that had crashed into the pump house, causing about $20,000 in damage. He was caught after a chase.

Michael Donahue Jr. was arrested on charges of vehicle theft, driving under the influence, refusal to submit to a chemical test, failure to give notice of an accident and driving without a license. He was lodged at Lemon Creek Correctional Center.
