JUNEAU - The upcoming Juneau Audubon Society Saturday Wild program will feature a hike around the Jensen-Olson Arboretum beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 19.
The public is invited to see how the cultivated gardens interface with the natural forest and the adjacent rocky beach of Pearl Harbor.
Arboretum Manager Merrill Jensen will give a tour of the grounds as well as lead a short hike on the new Point Caroline trail to view native plants of the forest understory.
Additionally, yellow-rumped warblers are a common species in Alaska that may be captured for the event.
