Agency reminds residents of rebate

JUNEAU - The Alaska Housing Finance Corp. is reminding residents with disabilities of a special rebate program aimed at encouraging the purchase of energy-efficient appliances.
The agency is administering a $658,000 federal grant under a program that began in March.
It will run until the money runs out - no longer than February 2012 - but the agency is encouraging those thinking about buying a new appliance to apply sooner than later.
