Playground letter dripped with venom

Some of the words that came to mind after reading Lauren M. Swift's June 8 letter ("Unhappy with Twin Lakes playground") were: huh, ridiculous, mean, poison pen and dripping with venom.

The community built the playground, and as such, it is a project that builds community. I wonder how Swift felt when Fred Meyer covered a bigger expanse of open green area back in 1983. Did that make her want to vomit also?
