Bob Cita of Juneau kayaks Saturday near Whale Point during the Sitka Sound Ocean Adventure Race in Sitka. Cita, who used a kayak he built himself, finished sixth overall and second among solo kayakers in the 12.3-mile short-course race. Mark Gorman of Sitka, who rowed a single scull, won the 20.4-mile long-course race.
