Clairen Stone, left, as Cathy Hiatt, and Zac Kirkpatrick as Jamie Wellerstein, perform the wedding song scene in the Juneau-Douglas High School rehearsal of "The Last Five Years" on Tuesday at the school. The story follows the five-year relationship and marriage of an actress and a writer in New York City. The one-act musical, written by Jason Robert Brown, is being produced, designed and directed by theater teacher Michaela Moore and Lucas Hoiland. It will be performed by recent JDHS alumni. The school hopes to establish a summer tradition of putting on a play involving JDHS alumni. "This first one is the test pilot to see if we can continue this tradition every summer," Moore said. The first performance is at 8 tonight at the JDHS auditorium. The play continues at 8 p.m. June 20, 21, 26, 28; and 5 p.m. June 21, 28 and 29.
