Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:
A woman called at 5:57 p.m. Tuesday to report the theft of a Kenwood stereo, two speakers and 40 CDs from her vehicle on Crest Avenue on Monday night.
A woman called the Alaska State Troopers at 9:50 p.m. Sunday to report the theft of her purse while onboard the state ferry LeConte, traveling between Hoonah and Juneau. An investigation is ongoing.
Vandalism and criminal mischief:
A man called at 8:08 p.m. Tuesday to report that his 1997 Dodge pickup had been vandalized on 7th Street downtown on Monday.
A man with a video camera was reported at 9:42 a.m. Tuesday trying to get close to a bear in Wildmeadow Court.
Bears also were reported in the Back Loop-Steelhead area at 2:41 p.m. Tuesday, on Creek Street in Douglas at 7:39 p.m. Tuesday, on Back Loop Road at 8:57 p.m. Tuesday and Great Western at 9:22 p.m. Tuesday.
Crew members from the U.S. Coast Guard cutter Naushon assisted Canadian authorities in providing medical treatment to a 22-year-old man suffering from carbon monoxide poisoning on a boat in Dixon Entrance at 9:07 p.m. Tuesday. The man was taken to a hospital in British Columbia for treatment.
Juneau Crime Line Inc. is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest or indictment of the person or people responsible for vandalizing a front-end loader at a rock quarry on North Douglas about June 1. Damage was estimated at $50,000 to $60,000.
