Girl Scout Council seeks adults with leadership skills

The Tongass Alaska Girl Scout Council is seeking adult volunteers with leadership aptitude. Adult volunteers are people ages 18 and above who wish to share their insight, experiences and sense of adventure with today's girls.

Girl Scout volunteers may lead a troop or group meeting at a time convenient for them and the girls; serve as a board or task force member, contributing to the overall administration and fund-raising efforts of the council; record cookie orders in the community; share professional expertise with girls working on a badge or learning about potential careers; volunteer for a one-time special event such as a Leadership Summit, sewing lesson or swimming pool party; join the more than 450 adults in Juneau and Douglas who contribute their energy and enthusiasm to Girl Scouting.

It is challenging, worthwhile and fun.
