Centennial Hall Anniversary Events

Centennial Hall Convention Center will celebrate its 20th anniversary Friday and Saturday, June 20 and 21, with a weekend of events for all ages.

Friday, June 20

Community Service Award Dinner starts at 7 p.m. at Centennial Hall and honors volunteer organizations in Juneau. Tickets are $30 at the door or the Juneau Chamber of Commerce.

Saturday, June 21

Centennial Hall's 20th Anniversary Car Rally, a scavenger hunt on wheels, starts at 10:30 a.m. in the Nugget Mall parking lot near Valley Lumber. Registration costs $15 and begins at 9:30 a.m. in the lot. All cars require a driver and a passenger and must have insurance. Passengers must decode a set of instructions and direct the driver on what roads to follow. Cars receive points for answering questions and lose points if they finish the course too quickly.

Taste of Juneau at Centennial Hall starts at 11 a.m. at Centennial Hall. Includes local cuisine, a big band, beer garden, balloon-animal creator Jeff Brown, the Juneau Joey clowns and Wisconsin magician Matthew "Magic" Morgan.

The Quick Draw starts at 12:30 p.m. at Centennial Hall. Juneau and Haines artists will create original works of art in one hour and auction them off at 3 p.m.

19th Annual Only Fools Run starts at 11:59 p.m. downtown, 5K run, 1K walk.
