Thirteen Juneau Jumpers heading to national meet at Disney World

Thirteen Juneau Jumpers are traveling to Orlando, Fla., this week to compete in the U.S. National Jump Rope Championship at Walt Disney World Resort.

Alissa Hulbert, Elise Christy, Gracie Meiners, Iris Neary, Kalea Chapman, Kelsea Goodell, Laura Knapp, Maggie Meiners, Marie Holden, Megan Treston, Stephanie Logan, Adam Nesheim and Dylan Holden will make the trip to Florida with coaches Paula Kalbrener and Amy Jo Meiners. National meet activities begin on Thursday.

The Jumpers qualified for the competition with their performance at the regional meet in Sitka in March. For many of them, this week's meet will be their first national-level competition.

Events at the national championships include double Dutch single freestyle, double Dutch pairs freestyle, double-unders, triple-unders and a variety of speed competitions.
