Politicians, leave our Permanent Fund alone

I would really like to know why the Alaska Permanent Fund is getting smaller. It is my understanding that it is based on a five year average. For over the last three years or more the price of Alaska oil has increased to record highs. It is at this time that we Alaskans should be seeing the dividends increase in size, not dropping.

I also find it interesting that the Juneau Empire seems to not cover these issues. Not once did I see any reports about the over $800 million the governor is trying to (or already has) taken from the PFD. It sure makes one think who is running this paper. I say that all Alaskans should stand and ask "where's the money" and "who said you can take it?"

We, the people, spoke out on Election Day and voted that he and the Legislature could not touch it and yet here he is taking it anyway totally against what we declared. I, for one, cannot wait for the next election to vote him out.
