Disturbance:
Police responding at 12:21 p.m. Sunday to a reported disturbance in the 9100 block of Cinema Drive in the Mendenhall Valley ended up arresting a 19-year-old woman on a warrant charging her with failing to appear as summoned for jury duty. They lodged her at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.
Theft:
Police cited a 19-year-old woman on a theft charge at 8:12 p.m. Sunday in the 700 block of South Franklin Street downtown.
Vandalism:
At 9:43 p.m. Sunday, a sign on the Treadwell Trail was reported vandalized.
Vehicle accident:
Police cited a 29-year-old man on a charge of failing to maintain a safe distance in traffic and cited a 50-year-old man on a charge of negligent driving after an accident at 9:09 a.m. Monday on Glacier Highway and Industrial Avenue. The younger man was driving a 2006 Pontiac, which sustained an estimated $3,000 in damage. The older man was driving a 1989 Chevrolet pickup, which sustained an estimated $1,500 in damage.
Animal encounters:
A bear was reported getting into garbage at 12:03 p.m. Sunday near Capital and Calhoun avenues downtown.
