Dorothy M. Stevens-James, of Juneau, and Daniel M. Smith, of Hoonah, will marry at 4 p.m. July 24, 2009, at the Alaska Native Brotherhool Hall in Juneau. A reception will follow at the ANB Hall. Friends and relatives are invited by invitation.
The bride is the daughter of Violet J. Obert and Ronald W. James, and Alexander T. Stevens II (deceased). A graduate of Juneau-Douglas High School and Older Persons Action Group in Anchorage, she is a certified nurses assistant and does private personal care for Priority Home Health in Juneau.
The groom is the son of Diane Carrier and Paul Smith Sr. (deceased). A graduate of Hoonah Public School, he is training to do heavy equipment.
The maid of honor will be Susan Braullette, and the flower girl will be Kenndrea Williard.
The best man will be Moses Smith, and the ushers will be Paul Smith Jr., William Brown, Jacob James and Timothy Lindoff. Susan Braulletee and Moses Smith will be the ring bearers.
The couple will make their home in Anchorage.
