Hagevig, Deutsche to marry June 24
Elizabeth Hagevig and Kevin Deutsche, both of Juneau, will be married in a ceremony June 24. A reception will follow at 7 p.m. at the Juneau Yacht Club.
Friends and relatives of the couple are invited to the reception.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Rosemary Hagevig and the late William Hagevig. She is a graduate of Georgetown University, and is a sales and service manager for Allen Marine.
The groom-elect is the son of Craig and Mary Deutsche. He is a graduate of the University of California and Georgetown University, and is a dock manager for Allen Marine.
The bridesmaids will be Natasha Zahn Pristas, Ami Heinberg and Karen Soto. The groomsmen will be Chris George, Brian Vickers and Ryan Garner. The ring bearer will be Quinn White.
The couple will make their home in Juneau.
Pierces celebrate 50th anniversary
Fran and George Pierce recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at an open house hosted by their children in Hillsborough, Ore.
The Pierces were married in Oregon on May 6, 1950, and moved immediately to Alaska. George Pierce worked in a cannery in Tyee until it closed in 1957, after which the couple moved to Juneau. They recently purchased a residence in Palm Springs, Calif., and plan to reside part-time in both communities.
