Going to summer camp is easy and affordable at the Juneau 4-H summer camp. This camp is open to all kids ages 9 to 12. You need not be a member of 4-H to attend. This year's camp will be held the week of July 8, 28 miles out of town at the Eagle River United Methodist Youth Camp. Campers sleep in cabins, and kids can request to room with friends. The all inclusive fee of $105 includes the camp T-shirt.
With the friendliest camp counselors around, and great camp cooks, this is a great way to expose your child to the summer camp experience. Cabins sleep from six to eight people, there is a bath house, a great dining hall, large playing field, and a rope swing. Activities include arts and crafts, archery, air rifles, beach walks, games, and lots of camp fire fun.
Camp is limited to the first 65 who sign up. Call the Juneau Cooperative Extension Office at 465-8749 for an application. Applications are due Friday, June 28.
