Thanks for participating in Juneau Speaks on Iraq
Thank you, citizens, for being part of "the best of democracy."
On May 30, at the close of the public forum Juneau Speaks on Iraq, Sen. Lisa Murkowski called the event "kind of the best of democracy." Juneau People for Peace and Justice would like to thank all those who attended the forum, those who submitted comments to Sen. Murkowski and those who spoke with the passionate interest in our nation's future.
We also want to thank the fine citizens, for their contributions to this effort to bring one of our elected voices in Congress home to hear our voices. We especially wish to thank Supreme Court Justice Walter "Bud" Carpeneti, Mayor Bruce Botelho, University of Alaska Southeast Professor David Noon and our co-sponsors - the League of Women Voters, University of Alaska Southeast and the Juneau World Affairs Council. We also wish to thank Connie McKenzie, of Sen. Murkowski's Juneau office; the staff at KTOO, who recorded and broadcasted the forum; and the staff at KINY, who helped publicize the event.

Thank you, Kurt West, for dedication to soccer
The Capital City Soccer League Board would like to say a special thank-you to Kurt West, for his many years of hard work in keeping adult soccer fun and supported. Without your efforts and dedication, adult soccer in Juneau may not be as successful as it is today. Thank you, Kurt, and see you on the pitch.
