Juneau police and fire officials and state police report:

Sound off on the important issues at

Animal encounters:

• At 7:35 p.m. police reported a bear entered a house through a pet door in the 600 block of Seward Street.

• At 10 p.m. police reported a bear entered a house through an open window in the 3600 block of Amalga Street.

Domestic violence:

• At about 6:50 p.m. Tuesday a 28-year-old man was arrested on a charge of domestic violence assault in the 2500 block of Radcliffe Road. He was lodged at Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

Drunken driving:

• Joanne Hoset-Schmidy, 39, was arrested at about 10:20 p.m. Tuesday on a charge of drunken driving, refusing to submit to a chemical test and reckless endangerment. She was housed at the state prison.

Theft:

• At about 12:15 p.m. Tuesday police reported that $600 was stolen from a business in the 9100 block of Medenhall Mall Road.

• At about 12:40 p.m. Tuesday police reported that a Schwinn mountain bike was stolen in the 9200 block of Emily Way.

Minor consuming:

• At 7:35 p.m. Tuesday a 20-year-old man was cited for drinking alcohol while under age.

• At about 11:25 p.m. Tuesday an 18-year-old man was cited for drinking alcohol while under age in the 9100 block of Skywood Lane.

• At about 11:30 p.m. Tuesday an 18-year-old man was cited for drinking alcohol while under age on Second Street.
