Strip-club owner charged in drug case

ANCHORAGE - The 65-year-old owner of an Anchorage strip club is charged with felony distribution of cocaine.

The federal charges allege Hallie Dean McGinnis, owner of PJ's, distributed "a mixture and substance containing a detectable amount of cocaine" on May 11, 2007. He was charged Thursday.

The Anchorage Daily News reported on its Web site that the charges offer no explanation of how much cocaine McGinnis is alleged to have distributed, with whom the transaction involved or where it took place.

A second count in the charges seeks the criminal forfeiture of the nightclub if McGinnis is convicted.

McGinnis is scheduled for arraignment in Anchorage July 17.
