Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:


• Police arrested a man, 18, on a charge of concealing merchandise after being called to a reported shoplifting at 6:23 a.m. Tuesday in the 9100 block of Mendenhall Mall Road. They lodged him at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

Vehicle accidents:

• At 4:19 p.m. Tuesday, a Chevrolet truck reportedly hit a guardrail on Glacier Highway near the Shrine of St. Therese. The driver, a man, 19, said he swerved to avoid hitting a deer. Damage to the truck was estimated at $2,000.

• At 8:35 a.m. Tuesday, a 1995 Dodge pickup, driven by a boy, 17, reportedly hit an equipment trailer in the rear in the 17900 block of Glacier Highway. The trailer was attacked to a 2004 Ford pickup that was reportedly undamaged. The Dodge reportedly sustained damage to the right fender and tire.


• At 9:45 a.m. Tuesday, two tires were reported slashed on a 1997 Honda Civic in the 1100 block of Fifth Street in Douglas.

Disorderly conduct:

• Police arrested a man, 37, on a charge of disorderly conduct at 9:26 p.m. Monday in the 200 block of Marine Way downtown. They lodged him at the state prison.


• Police retrieved a dip net that posed a public hazard at 3:22 p.m. Monday from the outbound Egan Drive roadway at Salmon Creek.
