Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Sound off on the important issues at

Drunken driving:

• Police arrested 56-year-old Gary Ranne on a charge of drunken driving at 8:36 p.m. Tuesday in the 9100 block of Mendenhall Mall Road. They lodged him at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center and impounded the vehicle he was driving.


• A 36-year-old man was arrested at 5:02 p.m. Tuesday on a charge of criminal trespassing in the 7800 block of North Douglas Highway. Police lodged him at the state prison.


• A report was taken at 6:57 a.m. Wednesday that $60 cash was stolen in the 4000 block of Granite Drive.


• A 53-year-old man reported at 12:29 p.m. Tuesday that $255 cash was stolen from a store in the 6500 block of Glacier Highway in Lemon Creek.

• A women's green Specialized 21-speed bicycle was reported stolen at 8:14 p.m. Tuesday in the 200 block of Marine Way.

• A face-plate to a Kenwood car stereo was reported stolen at 11:32 a.m. Wednesday from a vehicle in the 2300 block of Meadow Lane.

Theft of services:

• A 32-year-old woman was arrested on a charge of theft of services at 12:42 a.m. Wednesday on Trout Street. Police lodged her at the state prison.

Hit and run:

• It was reported at 4:03 p.m. Tuesday that a 1997 Chrysler minivan was struck by an unknown vehicle in a parking lot in the 10000 block of Glacier Highway.

Litter citation:

• A litter citation was issued at 11:25 p.m. Tuesday in the 1000 block of Coogan Drive in Lemon Creek after police received a report of a bear eating trash.
