JUNEAU - Average retail gasoline prices in Alaska have risen 1.6 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $3.42 per gallon Sunday, according to the gasoline price website AlaskaGasPrices.com.
This compares with the national average that has increased 3.7 cents per gallon in the last week to $2.73 per gallon.
Including the change in gas prices in Alaska during the past week, prices Sunday were 54.0 cents per gallon higher than the same day one year ago and are 6.9 cents per gallon lower than a month ago. The national average has decreased 9.0 cents per gallon during the last month and stands 7.2 cents per gallon higher than this day a year ago, the site said.
