ANCHORAGE - An 81-year-old man has been handed a two-year sentence in prison in a federal child pornography case.

Robert Armour Sanderson Sr. was sentenced in federal court on Monday.

Federal prosecutors alleged Sanderson ordered two sexually explicit videos containing images of prepubescent children engaging in sex acts.

According to prosecutors, Sanderson ordered the videos from an undercover postal inspector during a sting operation.

Sanderson initially pleaded not guilty to single counts of possession and receiving child porn.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Jack S. Schmidt says Sanderson pleaded guilty to the possession charge in March in a plea deal that dropped the receipt charge.
