Juneau Titans beat XtraTufs for D Division title

The Juneau Soccer Club's second annual Solstice Invitational, which concludes play today at Adair-Kennedy Field, featured 11 teams from Juneau, Ketchikan, Whitehorse, Yukon Territory and Langley, British Columbia.

Two games are on today's schedule - a playoff game in the girls' B Division at 9 a.m. and the B Division championship at 1:30 p.m.

The girls' D Division featured two playoff games and a championship match on Saturday. In the playoffs, the Juneau Titans beat Ketchikan U-14, 6-0, and the Juneau XtraTufs defeated the Yukon Icebreakers, 3-0. In Saturday evening's championship match, the Titans beat the XtraTufs, 3-0.

Other scores from the tournament were: Friday: C Division (boys) - Ketchikan U-14 5, Juneau Riptide 2. D Division (girls) - Juneau Titans 5, Yukon Icebreakers 0; Juneau XtraTufs 7, Ketchikan U-14 0; Yukon Icebreakers 3, Ketchikan U-14 1. Exhibition (boys) - Juneau Orcas 5, Ketchikan U-14 1. Saturday: A Division (boys, friendly match) - Red 7, White 5. B Division (girls) - Juneau Quicksilver 1, Yukon Northern Flames 0; Juneau Quicksilver 2, Langley, B.C. 1; Yukon Northern Flames 2, Langley, B.C. 0. C Division (boys) - Ketchikan U-14 4, Juneau Riptide 1.
