Former Juneau resident Tracy Scott Pickerell, 53, died in June from a heart attack.
He was born on Feb. 8, 1950, to Homer Lee and Alberta Cowing Pickerell. He was an attorney in private practice in Baton Rouge, La., until his death.
He was a member of Broadmoor United Methodist Church in Baton Rouge, La., and a University of Missouri graduate. He graduated from Louisiana State University Law School in 1987 and was a member of the 21st JDC.
He is preceded in death by his father.
He is survived by his wife, Kathryn Rainey Pickerell; son, Taylor Scott Pickerell; mother, Alberta Cowing Pickerell of Kansas City, Mo.; sister, Brenda Linstra of Kansas City, Kan.; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Earl and Loyce Rainey of Denham Springs, La.
Services were held June 19, at the Seale Funeral Home Chapel in Denham Springs, La. The burial will be at Resthaven Gardens of Memory in Baton Rouge, La.
