The Juneau Quicksilver girls soccer team defeated the Yukon Northern Flames of Whitehorse, 2-0, on Sunday afternoon to win the B Division of the second annual Juneau Soccer Club Solstice Invitational at Adair-Kennedy Memorial Park.
Theresa Badilla scored both goals for the Quicksilver, which completed the tournament with a perfect 3-0 record.
This year's Solstice Invitational featured 11 teams -- four boys and seven girls squads -- from Juneau and Ketchikan in Alaska, plus Canadian teams from Whitehorse, Yukon Territory, and Langley, British Columbia.
The boys teams played exhibition games, with Ketchikan U-14 going 2-0 in the C Division. The Red team -- a mix of players from the Juneau Orcas and Dragons -- went 2-0 in the A Division.
In the girls D Division, the Juneau Titans defeated the Juneau XtraTufs on Saturday evening to claim the title. The Titans finished the tourney with a 5-0 record.
