Juneau youth soccer teams claimed the titles in all three divisions of the Solstice Invitational Soccer Tournament, which ended Sunday at Adair-Kennedy Memorial Park. The three-day tournament brought together 190 middle-school age soccer players from Ketchikan, Juneau and Whitehorse, Yukon Territory.

The Juneau Dragons claimed the championship in the Open A Division, beating the Whitehorse Assante Templars 4-0 in the title game. The Dragons were undefeated in five pool-play games and had championship-game goals from Mark Rainery, Nick Ellenbecker, Ian Brinkman and Charlie Nguyen. The Templars beat the Ketchikan U15 squad to reach the title game, while the Juneau U15 Quicksilver girls team took fourth place as the only female squad in the division.

In the Girls B Division, the Juneau U12 Avalanche took first place behind the play of Margaret Sckona and Carly Lehnhart. The Avalanche beat out the Juneau U13 Titans and a Ketchikan U13 squad for the title, with the Titans taking second place based on round-robin pool play.

In the Boys B Division, the Juneau U14 Counting Crows blanked the Yukon Falcons of Whitehorse 5-0 in the title game. Dylan Ashe and Jeffery Carpenter led the Crows in scoring for the title game.

The Falcons advanced to the championship after beating the Juneau U14 Flying Eagles in a sudden-death shootout. The two teams played to a 0-0 tie after regulation and an overtime period, and the first shootout ended with a 3-3 tie before Yukon won the game in the second round of the shootout. Juneau U12 Riptide took fourth place and fifth place went to a Ketchikan U13 squad.
