Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Driving while intoxicated:

Chester Miller, 24, was arrested for drunken driving at 12:25 a.m. Wednesday on Stark Street in Lemon Creek. He was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.


A woman, 35, reported at 11:46 a.m. Tuesday the theft of a purple 12-speed girl's bicycle from Mendenhall Loop Road.

A woman, 54, reported at 11:56 a.m. Tuesday that a black handheld scanner was stolen from her truck on Glacier Highway near Lemon Creek about a day ago.

Vandalism and criminal mischief:

A man, 40, reported at 12:51 p.m. Tuesday that the rear passenger-side window of his blue Subaru was broken Monday at about 10 p.m. on Kennedy and 5th streets.

Animal encounters:

Bears were reported at the Cope Park shelter at 8:23 p.m. and on Basin Road at 8:41 p.m. Tuesday.
