Daniel James Fagnant of Juneau, received a bachelor of science in computer engineering, magna cum laude, from Gonzaga University in a commencement ceremony on May 12. He is the son of Richard and Deborah Fagnant.

Louis C. Ulmer of Juneau graduated from Davidson College in a commencement on May 19.

Ulmer is the son of Mr. William Council and Ms. Frances and is a graduate of Juneau-Douglas High School. Ulmer graduated with a degree in English.

While at Davidson, Ulmer participated in intramural basketball and softball, Kappa Sigma fraternity and Habitat for Humanity. He also studied abroad in Grenoble, France.

Robert William Detjen of Juneau was among 1,675 students who received their diplomas at Southern Methodist University's 87th annual commencement on May 18.

Detjen received a master of music degree with a major in french horn performance.

SMU is a private, comprehensive university located in Dallas.

It has an enrollment of about 10,000 students and a full-time faculty of more than 500.

Andrew Olaf Shelton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jev Shelton of Juneau, received a bachelor of arts degree from Brown University in Providence, R.I., during its 234th commencement on May 27.

Juneau resident Donald James Shane received a bachelor of science in construction management from South Dakota State University during a commencement ceremony held on May 4.
