Former Juneau resident Lois W. Dischner Thorne, 43, died June 22, 2005, in Anchorage.
She was born Sept. 6, 1961, in Juneau. She worked as a self-employed accountant. She was a member of St. Andrews Parish. She enjoyed the outdoors, camping, traveling and shopping.
"Lois loved her family and friends very much and did whatever she could to make others happy. We all loved her very much," her family said.
She was preceded in death by her father, Lewis Dischner; her aunt, Lois W. Dischner Boren; and her uncle, Clyde Boren.
She is survived by her husband, James Thorne; her daughter, Brieann Thorne; her son, James Thorne, all of Anchorage; her mother, Yvonne "Eve" Reeves of Florida; her brothers, Lewis Dischner and Johnny Lew Dischner of California; her sisters, Vanessa L. Dreyer of Florida, Yvonne Insalaco of Anchorage, Molly Dischner of Portland, Ore. and Betty Mae Dischner; her stepfather, Tommy Reeves; Scott Adamson and many other in-laws, cousins and friends in Anchorage and California.
A memorial service will be held 3 p.m., June 26, at Grace Christian Church and School in Anchorage.
