Delta High School reports large theft

DELTA JUNCTION - Alaska State Troopers are investigating the theft of at least $80,000 in electronics from Delta High School.

The theft occurred over the weekend.

The thief or thieves made off with more than 50 pieces of electronics, mostly laptops used in mobile learning stations.

Desktop computers and a large video monitor were also among the stolen items.

The school's security system was also taken, so there is no visual record of the thefts. The value of the stolen items is between $80,000 and $100,000.
