JUNEAU - An Alakanuk man is in jail on assault charges after Alaska State Troopers say he got drunk and fired a gun at several people, injuring a 14-year-old girl.
Paul Morris Phillip Jr., 36, was shooting at people from his house Sunday evening where he was alone with his 4-year-old son, police said.
The girl was injured in the head as a result of the shooting, and the village health aide was unable to assist her during the incident, officials said.
