Police and Fire

Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Drunken driving:

• Tyler Blazina, 28, was arrested for drunken driving at 9:29 p.m. Wednesday near Front Street after driving his Toyota truck into a parked Plymouth Neon. Blazina was lodged at Lemon Creek Correctional Center.


• A Chevrolet Cavalier was reported kicked and damaged at 3:18 p.m. Wednesday near South Franklin Street.

• A 1994 Mazda was reported keyed at 5:54 p.m. Wednesday near Glacier Highway.

• A bathroom was reported vandalized at 8:18 a.m. Thursday near Riverside Drive. The damage was estimated at $100.

• At 10:12 a.m. Thursday, a man reported his Subaru was egged sometime Wednesday night near Rosedale Street.

Lost property:

• A dark blue opal ring was reported lost at 1:04 p.m. Wednesday in the Juneau area.

Vehicle accidents:

• A man, 55, was cited for failing to maintain a safe distance at 4:55 p.m. Wednesday near Vanderbilt Hill Road after he drove his 1994 Mazda into a 1999 Toyota. The Toyota sustained $4,000 in damage. The Mazda sustained minor damage.

Animal sightings:

• A bear was reported at 12:02 a.m. Thursday near Behrends Avenue.


• A woman, 28, was arrested for criminal trespass at 1:23 a.m. Thursday near Poplar Avenue. She was lodged at Lemon Creek Correctional Center.
