Wolfinbarger expects a good turnout for the retail chain store's opening day, but did not speculate how many residents might stop by.

"I just know my employees will not be parking in the lot that day," he said.

Featured throughout the day will be grand opening specials, prize giveaways and a ribbon-cutting ceremony with Juneau business leaders at 10 a.m.

Starting at 5 p.m., "community night" will be kicked off with cake and beverages served to the public.

The Lemon Creek store will be open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. For more information, call 463-5034.

Home Depot is a Georgia-based home improvement retail chain with 2,104 locations in the United States, Canada and Mexico. It has roughly 355,000 employees, more than 1,000 of them in Alaska.
